Play Need for Speed Carbon online in your browser
Carbon Online is an independent fan project for online Need for Speed: Carbon races through your browser. Customize cars in the in-game garage, find opponents in rooms and follow your results on the website.
Requires your own licensed Need for Speed: Carbon files and a compatible desktop browser.
What is Carbon Online?
Carbon Online brings together browser-based Need for Speed: Carbon and a website for players. Prepare the client, open your garage, create a room or join other racers. Chat, player profiles, race history and a seasonal leaderboard help you stay in touch and follow the competition.
The project is in beta. Online racing depends on a compatible client and an available server; the lobby shows the current options.
From the garage to the starting line
Your in-game garage
Add cars and change parts and paint in the game itself. Saved cars belong to your account's garage. Wait for save confirmation before leaving.
Rooms for shared races
Create a room or choose an open one. See the track, lap count and car restrictions before the start so every racer knows the conditions.
People and results
Chat with opponents, add friends and view player profiles. Completed race history and the seasonal leaderboard let you follow results over time.
How to start playing
Create an account
Register a racer name, email and password. Your account holds your garage and race results.
Prepare your browser and files
Read the guide, check browser capabilities and prepare your own game files. The first preparation takes time and free storage space.
Choose a room
Open the lobby, check the conditions of available races or create your own room.
What to expect from the beta
The project is developing around the in-game garage and online races. Available tracks and race settings depend on the servers and client version. Before preparation, the website checks the browser's basic capabilities.
Launch, connection and session completion errors can still occur. Follow the application's messages and wait for garage save confirmation. Performance depends on your computer, browser and settings.
