How to start playing Carbon Online
Prepare your account, a compatible browser and your own Need for Speed: Carbon files. Then open the garage and move on to the available online races.
Requires your own licensed Need for Speed: Carbon files and a compatible desktop browser.
Before you begin
Use a computer and a browser with WebGPU. You need your own licensed copy of the game, its files, an internet connection and enough browser storage. The application checks basic browser capabilities before client preparation; passing the check does not guarantee a particular frame rate or a successful race.

Check the requirements
You need your own licensed game files, a computer, internet access and a browser with WebGPU. The application's check shows basic browser capabilities and available storage.
Create an account
Register a racer name, email and password, or sign in to your existing account.
Prepare the client
Choose Prepare game files, review the download size and wait for verification to finish. The first preparation may take some time.
Open the in-game garage
Add or choose a car and customize it in the game. To leave, use Return to website and wait for confirmation that the changes have been saved to your account.
Find a race
Open the lobby, choose an available room or create your own. Check the track, lap count and car restrictions.
Complete your session
Follow the client and website messages. Wait for writing to finish before closing the game; keep browser site data during preparation, gameplay and saving.
If something needs another check
The client shows separate states for file preparation, profile readiness and joining a race. Follow the message for the current stage. A finished download alone does not mean that every launch requirement is satisfied.
If the application reports a save or profile conflict, use the offered check and preserve the browser's site data. Do not close a saving garage until the website confirms the save or provides a recovery action.
